Product features
- Can be used at temperatures of up to 200°C without any permanent loss of holding power due to the use of a samarium-cobalt magnetic core.
- Quick and safe mounting by gluing or shrinking.
- The steel cup protects the magnet and shields the magnetism from the outside.
- The field lines are directed through the steel casing to the free adhesive surface, which increases the holding power of the magnet.
- Thanks to the steel cup, these magnet systems are durable and more robust than raw magnets.
- The adhesive surface is ground.

Areas of application
Magnetic systems with a magnetic core made of samarium cobalt (SmCo) are used in a variety of industrial and technical applications where high magnetic force, thermal stability and corrosion resistance are required. Due to their properties, SmCo flat grippers have a long service life and are used primarily in technically demanding environments:
- High-temperature applications: Samarium cobalt magnets have higher holding forces than ferrite or AlNiCo and exhibit very good temperature resistance. This makes them ideal for fastening tasks in high-temperature applications such as drying ovens or powder coating systems. Where magnets such as neodymium lose their holding force due to thermal stress, samarium cobalt magnets can be used without hesitation to hold flaps, covers and workpieces.
- Workpiece handling: Samarium cobalt flat grippers are a popular choice for holding workpieces such as hot castings or flame-cut pieces during processing. They can also be used to hold ferrous parts at specific angles during welding, ensuring a clean finish.
- Shipbuilding and offshore installations: SmCo magnets offer exceptional corrosion resistance and are therefore particularly suitable for use in demanding environments where conventional materials are quickly affected by moisture or aggressive chemicals. In shipbuilding and offshore installations, they are used for temporary fixtures such as securing tarpaulins or components. They can withstand salty air and water without any problems.
