Areas of application
Our AlNiCo flat strips are made of an aluminum, nickel and cobalt alloy and are ideal for applications with high temperatures up to +300°C. They are characterized by high magnetic energy density and resistance to corrosion. Compared to newer magnetic materials such as neodymium, AlNiCo has a lower holding force, but remains relevant due to its thermal and chemical stability:
- High-temperature applications: Alnico magnets have the highest temperature resistance compared to neodymium, ferrite and even samarium cobalt. This makes them ideal for temporary fastening tasks in demanding working environments with very high temperatures, such as drying ovens or powder coating systems, where they are used to fix covers. They are also used for various fastenings in deep technology.
- Welding: AlNiCo magnets are the best choice for securely positioning workpieces such as steel parts and pipes during direct processing. They can easily withstand the extreme temperatures during welding, even over a longer period of time.
Did you know? Modern magnetic welding angles and clamping blocks are almost exclusively equipped with AlNiCo magnets.
