Technical Drawing

Areas of application

Temperature-resistant neodymium magnets, which can withstand temperatures of up to 150°C, are used in applications where high thermal loads occur and a strong magnetic force is required at the same time. They have a wide range of uses and cover numerous industrial and technical areas:

  • Electric motors and generators: Temperature-resistant neodymium magnets are used in electric motors and generators, particularly in the automotive and industrial sectors. In high-performance motors, such as those used in hybrid and electric vehicles, magnets must withstand extreme loads. During operation, high temperatures can occur due to friction and electrical loads, often exceeding 100°C. Conventional magnets lose their magnetic properties at these temperatures, while the temperature-resistant variants work reliably and maintain a stable magnetic force.
  • High-temperature plants: In industrial plants where high temperatures occur during production, temperature-resistant magnets are of crucial importance. A typical application is in glass or ceramic production, where machines and tools have to withstand extreme heat conditions. Temperature-resistant magnets are often used here to securely fix or hold components without the need for additional mechanical fastenings.
  • Energy production: In energy production, temperature-resistant neodymium magnets are used primarily in turbines and solar plants. In turbines, for example in wind or hydroelectric power plants, magnets are used in control and coupling systems that are often exposed to high temperatures. They are also used in solar plants, where thermal loads occur due to solar radiation and the general heat build-up.
